Job Description:
A company is looking for a RCM Prior Authorization Specialist to
navigate the complexities of prior authorization and insurance
verification.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain knowledge of insurance policies and ensure compliance with
industry standards
Review patient medical records to determine required authorizations
and coordinate with practices and insurance companies
Communicate with patients and providers regarding authorization
requests and participate in developing coding and billing
strategies
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in prior authorization and insurance
verification
Deep understanding of CPT coding and payer reimbursement models
Expertise with interventional psychiatric treatments like TMS and
Spravato
Excellent research skills for behavioral healthcare regulations
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic
environment
