PurposeReporting to the Director of Business Intelligence and Data,
the Data Scientist will lead advanced analytics and machine
learning initiatives to drive innovation and operational
improvements across Heartland Veterinary Partners. This role will
focus on leveraging data science techniques to deliver predictive
insights, optimize veterinary operations, and support data-driven
decision-making. This is a full-time remote role. Candidates
located within Heartland's geographic footprint will be

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement predictive models, machine learning
algorithms, and statistical analyses to address business
challenges.
- Collaborate with the BI and Data team to identify opportunities
for leveraging data science in the veterinary healthcare
space.
- Analyze structured and unstructured data from various sources
to identify patterns and actionable insights, detect anomalies and
issues, predict outcomes, and recommend business process
optimizations.
- Build and deploy scalable data science solutions into the BI
ecosystem.
- Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model
performance and data accuracy.
- Communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders
through clear and concise visualizations and reports.
- Stay current with advancements in data science and machine
learning, applying relevant methodologies to improve
operations.Requirements/Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related
field.
- Proficiency in SQL, as well as Python or R. Experience using
libraries such as TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or PyTorch.
- Strong understanding of machine learning techniques, predictive
modeling, and statistical analysis.
- Experience with Power BI and integrating data science outputs
into business intelligence workflows.
- Familiarity with veterinary healthcare or healthcare analytics
is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate
