Job Description:
A company is looking for a Credit Review Underwriter to review
and cure post-closed loans and ensure compliance with relevant
regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform credit reviews of various loan types to assess accuracy and
validity of cancellation or denial requests
Collaborate with the Post Closing team to resolve findings and
ensure loans are salable
Review post-closed files to address 3rd party audits and assist in
documenting cancellations or denials
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of underwriting experience with 3 to 5 years in the
industry
Strong knowledge of agency guidelines for conventional and FHA
loans; VA knowledge is a plus
Experience in calculating various income types, including
self-employed income
Familiarity with federal, state, and regulatory rules relevant to
the mortgage industry
Experience with Encompass and Microsoft Office, particularly Word
and Excel, is a plus
