Job Summary
As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Asset Management), you will serve as an examiner in large, community, or midsize banks; including supervising or assisting with Asset Management examinations. Chicago, IL is the preferred location but may be filled in an alternative location.
Major Duties

• 
  
• Evaluate the effectiveness of asset management functions, identify systemic asset management risks and trends, and recommend changes in examination policy/procedures.
  
• Understand and implement the OCC's program for Supervision by Risk.
  
• Supervise or assist in asset management examinations of community, midsize, or large banks involving complex issues requiring extensive investigation and application of highly technical analysis and judgments.
  
• Direct, review, and evaluate the work of assigned personnel.
  
• Plan, organize, and control asset management supervisory activities which may include the supervision of assigned staff.
  
• Prepare communications with Boards of Directors and senior bank management to foster positive changes within the bank.
  
• Conduct discussions with senior bank management on findings and recommendations.

  • This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, including a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury.
    
  • Complete a one-year trial period (unless already completed).
    
  • Complete a background investigation (unless already completed).
    
  • Travel overnight or locally on a frequent basis.
    
  • Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
    
  • File an OCC Financial Disclosure Form and complete a financial disclosure review.
