DescriptionTransdev is seeking an Assistant General Manager in
our Milwaukee WI locationAssistant General ManagerMajor
Responsibilities:Assures a safe working environment.Provides
leadership and guidance to develop location and personnel.Ensures
compliance of all company and contract procedures and
policies.Assesses resource needs, problems, and trends and plans
accordingly.Develops action plans to ensure customer
satisfaction.Provides and promotes effective communications with
customers.Establishes training goals and requirements for all
personnel.Satisfies client, corporate, and contractual reporting
requirements and needs.Coordinates daily transit operations'
dispatching, in-service monitoring, and turn-in
activities.Coordinates operations personnel selection, recruitment,
and training with the Safety Manager.Monitors, evaluates and
addresses Operations activities. Included in the evaluation of
activities are the following: Vehicle on-time statistics, missed
runs, revenue/cost data, total work hours, total pay hours,
customer-compliant data, accident data, road call data, other
operations-related functions.Recommends and disciplines operations
and personnel.Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal
laws and regulation.Assesses resource needs, problems, and trends
and plans accordingly. Skills and Knowledge Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
required.Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
preferred.Must have effective communication skills.Requires 3-5
years of recent and relevant transportation experience.Must have
evidence of building solid relationships with supervisors, peers,
and subordinates.Ability to effectively and appropriately
communicate and/or collaborate with agencies, directors, elected
officials, operators, and all levels of hourly and salaried
employees, including senior management.Must be a self-starter able
to obtain successful results without supervision.Knowledge of
relevant federal state and local laws and regulations.Ability to
build solid and maintain strong working relationships with
clients.Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word,
Excel and PowerPoint programs.Strong written and oral communication
skills; excellent presentation skills; ability to influence people
at all levels of the organization.Ability to organize and perform
work efficiently, strong attention to details.Experience in working
with labor unions.Salary will be commensurate with experienceAbout
