About the DepartmentCollege Dean of Students
Job SummaryReporting to the Dean of Students in the College, the
Associate Dean of Students and Director of the College Academic
Advising and Transfer Office (CAATO) leads the office and a team of
advisers and senior advisers tasked with working with undergraduate
students individually and in groups; will set strategic vision and
priorities for the office focused on augmenting and enhancing the
student experience, student persistence, and student success;
develop and lead programs of academic advising support for
students; foster connection to and advising relationships with
academic partners across the college, academic departments, and
programs; guide and have oversight over ongoing training and
professional development with a senior advising team and assistant
director of advising for advisers; develop and lead our transfer
operations for incoming transfer students and provide support for
them during their undergraduate careers; act as liaison to student
wellness and work closely with the College Programming and
Orientation Office on orientation and subsequent first and second
year experience programming and beyond. The Associate Dean of
Students also provides academic advising to a small group of
students, ensuring a personalized and supportive approach to guide
them through their academic journey. Moreover, the Associate Dean
of Students and Director, CAATO is a part of the Dean of Students'
senior leadership team and will work with the Dean of Students and
Deputy Dean of Students and Chief of Staff to guide office
operations.

degree in related field.
