Job Description:
A company is looking for a Software Engineer Level 2
specializing in Mainframe IMS Application Database
Administration.
Key Responsibilities
Support IMS database administration across development, testing,
and production environments
Conduct performance monitoring, tuning, backups, and forward
recoveries
Collaborate with mainframe systems and application teams to ensure
uptime, compliance, and security
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in z/OS environments and mainframe
utilities
5+ years managing IMS databases, including DBRC and forward
recoveries
Strong command of JCL, COBOL, and troubleshooting tools
2+ years of REXX programming experience within a z/OS
environment
Deep understanding of performance tuning and production support
processes
